Italian Police Driver

Italia is a place that some of the world best sport cars are designed and made. The Italian Police was glad to launch for the use of Lamborghini as one of the team for chasing the bad guys on the road some time ago…
However this is the case that we have to learn, though w have the good hardware, we do have to have the good software to match with it.
I think the Police has to go to learn on how to handle this wild bull… and as a matter of fact Italian Should also learn how to steer the super cruise ship too!

Electric Car is still a niche
And with gas prices about to top HKD$16.00 per litre. the idea of electric cars is, once again, appealing.
Let's be de-facto ... Electric cars aren't a “real thing” yet. They're a niche.
As the Financial Times noted last month: In their first full year of sales, both Nissan’s Leaf and General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt — the first of a new generation EV cars have sold in smaller numbers than the two carmakers expected: about 30,000.
Same as the LED for Lighting, there are a lot of things that should go along to support Electric car or the EV car will be only a niche only; charging station, mileage per charge,
Government incentive to support EV car, less pollution battery during battery re-cycling.
More powerful and lighter battery cells is commercially available… Wait for another 5 years and see.

e-Taxis in ShenZhen Struggle to Win Mass Appeal
The China Shenzhen EV car pilot project could be replicated in other Cities, underpins China’s ambitious plans to put at least 500,000 electrical vehicles and Plug-in hybrids on
The road by 2015.
China is already the World’s biggest emitter of green house gases from burning fossil fuels and other human activities that scientist say are causing serious global Warning.
As the World fastest and Largest growing auto market, China. carbon footprint can only Grow.
Beijing ha pronounced the electric vehicles industry a top priority earmarking $1.5Billion annual for the next 10 years in the hope that it can transform the country into one of the leading producers of clean vehicles that why one of the reason by BYD has tremendous growth in 2008-2010. and Warren Buffet has placed a big hand in buying the shares of BYD.
However even with the China Government support and the popular support of e-taxi customer’s challenges remain for electric vehicles such as e-taxi to gain broader acceptance and widespread use.
Charging station are few and far between, repair shops are hard to find, and the car are expensive still. The interval between charge is still not much enough. Even after Government generously support and incentive, the Shenzhen e-taxi costs 80 percent more than the Volkswagen Santana that is running on street in Shenzhen.
The EV taxi is still too expensive and we ended up paying a lot more for VW Santana, even after Government Subsides, Said Du Jun, GM of PengCheng E-Taxi, the taxi operator participating in the project.
More and more Automakers such as local Dong Feng Motor Group, Co have pledged massive investment on greener vehicles; the global Makers such as Nissan and BWM are also working with Government to roll out their Leaf and E-mini respectively.
China has no comparable program in the United States as EV industry investment.
US Congress is considering a bill that would allocate $2.9B for a programme t help develop the infrastruture for widespread use of EV car.
German Cabinet agrees on plans in May to boost the Country’s sector with billions of euros in us subsidies, aiming to have 1 millions of the cars on the road by 2020.
Berlin’s move will double stat support for research and development to 2 billions euros through 2013.

Audi' DNA is Winning
To a crowd of nearly 25,000 fans, the Audi R18 TDI made its first public appearance at Le Mans testing on Easter Sunday. Although Audi Sport Team Joest was more concerned with race preparation than lap times, the Audi R18 TDI would be the fastest car around the Circuit de la Sarthe. Living up to his "Mr. Le Mans" nickname, Tom Kristensen set the fastest time of the day, clocking a blistering 3m 27.687s. In fact, all three R18's managed times of just over 3 minutes 27 seconds; posting the 1st, 2nd and 4th fastest times of the day.
From what we can see, even Mercedes, BMW does not provide full LED solution for Head lamp and DRL, only Audi has this full LED solution since 2009. That shows simply Audi has the heart to product an Hi tech image to every one driving an Audi. See what effort has been doing from other car manufacturers, Lexus has their full LED head lamp on IS600IH model in 2009 on low beam lamp.
Lexus Today has a Car show in ocean Terminal, I could see their entire line of car DRL is lit up by LED and they switch them all on every car. But the Hi beam head lamp is still HID.
From the Slogan on Audi. “Audi DNA is winning” is true…
So in your next car purchase, take this into consideration, we are not just buying car, but the latest technology!

Look at this, Is it a Porsche!? Seems to be? No it is the Mini 2012 version, a new production unit.
Wow, looks much more muscle than it was used to be, one thing I did not feel comfortable is the headlamp! It is still traditional HID Lamp. What is they are LEDs! Definitely would be more embedded with new technology!HK Snob
