Shayton Equilibrium A brand new hypercar maker has arrived to this exclusivist niche. Shayton is the name of this Slovenian brand by parent company Provoco and with its new Equilibrium model, it promises to rival with Bugatti’s Veyron, Lamborghini’s Aventador and the rest of the supercar/hypercar lineup. Designed by Andrej Stanta and Dominik Cernelic, the Shayton Equilibrium will be made out of a carbon-titanium chassis tacked onto a forged aluminum-alloy suspension. Using carbon body panels and carbon-titanium wheels, the total curb weight of this hypercar is only 2640 lbs (1200 kg). Under the bonnet the car will feature a massive V12 engine that will crank out a whopping 1084 hp (1099 PS / 808 kW) and 686 lb.-ft (930 Nm) of torque. This power unit will be mated to a sequential gearbox. With these hardware specifications, the Shayton Equilibrium will need only 3.1 seconds for the 0-60 mph sprint; 8.9 seconds from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h), onto a top speed of over 249 mph (400 km/h). To calm down all of those ponies under the hood, the car will feature Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, while the aerodynamic design will put 750 kg of downforce on the car at 186 mph (300 km/h). Akrapovic will supply the carbon/titanium sport exhaust, and the weight distribution will be 47:53 (front/back). The aforementioned carbon-titanium rims will measure 9×20-inch in the front and 12.5×21-inch out in the back, wrapped around Pirelli Pzero 255/35/20 and 365/30/21 front & rear, respectively. As far as the cabin is concerned, it will be finished in Alcantara and leather with carbon fiber trims and brushed aluminum. The Slovenian company said that they will be able to roll out 20 units per year, along with many special editions. Price? More than 1,000,000 Euros for the “standard” version.
