How far you can go by 1 litre of Gasoline?

Taken from Newsweek 5 Nov issue by Samsung Note II LTE
Friend of mine is driving a Ford Expedition with mileage of 5 Km per Litre. another LX470 probably a bit better, but driver Lesveques Aurélien of the Microjoule team of La Joliviere school in France after one of his team's runs at Shell Eco-marathon May 2012 in Rotterdam. La Joliviere won the gasoline fuel award for prototype vehicles with a result of 2,832.8 kilometers per liter, or 6663.2 miles per gallon. What will be the new record of 2013, probably 10,000 Km per Litre, How do they do it!
I think 70% of the resistance in from the air, the car has to be very aerodynamic. The weight of the car should be as low as possible, and should a hybrid has a better milesage than pure gas? How good the engine design would be and the transmission system.
Well, leave it to the student, perhaps we should consider some of the technology to be used on our cars. As 1 Litre for just 1 few KMs is really a potential threat to the world's reserve of oil.

Taxi in Hong Kong

Taxi in the 50s and 60s was running by Sunbeam taxi company, taxi were mostly Mercedes Benz, Volvo, and in the 60s it was mostly Austin Oxford, and then in the 80's Japanese car would be in place of those Britsish cars. Ten years ago, we still had some Nissan Taxi, and I remember  that 7 -8 years ago we had some 4 seater Teaxi by Mazda, but it came and gone... as no one like to go or a smaller taxi unless we pay less.

Now 100% of HK Taxi is Toyota Comfort, it is made with the chassis of Crown, running by LPG, almost 100% now is auto gear shift...

This is a good one "OK La" taken by Darly Chapman....

Italian Police Driver

Italia is a place that some of the world best sport cars are designed and made.
The Italian Police was glad to launch for the use of Lamborghini as one of the team for chasing the bad guys on the road some time ago…

However this is the case that we have to learn, though w have the good hardware, we do have to have the good software to match with it.

I think the Police has to go to learn on how to handle this wild bull… and as a matter of fact Italian Should also learn how to steer the super cruise ship too!

Electric Car is still a niche

And with gas prices about to top HKD$16.00 per litre. the idea of electric cars is, once again, appealing.
Let's be de-facto ... Electric cars aren't a “real thing” yet. They're a niche.
As the Financial Times noted last month: In their first full year of sales, both Nissan’s Leaf and General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt — the first of a new generation EV cars have sold in smaller numbers than the two carmakers expected: about 30,000.
Same as the LED for Lighting, there are a lot of things that should go along to support Electric car or the EV car will be only a niche only; charging station, mileage per charge,
Government incentive to support EV car, less pollution battery during battery re-cycling.
More powerful and lighter battery cells is commercially available… Wait for another 5 years and see.
